Have You Set Up A Hub Yet?

If you haven't yet set up a Hub Page you may be missing out on a great marketing tool. As many of you know, Squidoo is a great way to reach your market, make sales and drive traffic to your website. Well just a Squidoo can do all this for your business, Hub Pages can do the same thing.

For those who have set up Squidoo pages, you'll find that Hub Pages work on the same principle. You write your Hub page about anything your little heart desires, and you earn revenue, which is split with the 'Hub'.

You add capsules just as you would a Squidoo page module and you can add content, pictures, Google AdSense, RSS Feeds and even eBay and Amazon items for sale. And once you get your account set up, I believe its even easier to set up than the other pages. Click here to set up a Hub Page.

Landing Page Load Time

Looks like Google has found another way to hike up the prices on your AdWords campaigns. Starting in April, Google will be assessing the load time of landing pages and the resulting score will impact the Quality Score and thus our cost per click.

You can see what Google thinks of your landing pages by going to your Google account, and opening one of your ad groups, click on the keyword tab and then hover your cursor over the magnifying glass image. A pop up box will appear. Click on 'Details and Recommendations' and you will open up the Keyword Analysis Page. There you will find the landing page score for your keyword.

By improving your landing page score you can positively impact your quality score and save a little coin.

Until next time . . .

Free Tools Are Always My Favorites

Just a couple of free tools I wanted to show you - for all my pay-per-click buddies out there. For those who use Matt Levenhagen's Blast method, or have large AdWords accounts there is the Google AdWords Editor. In case you're not familiar with this tool let me tell you it can be a life saver.

First of all it enables you to have all your campaigns backed up on your own computer, which can be a real blessing if Google were to lose your account information (this has happened and would be a real booger if you were needing to reconstruct campaigns).

And secondly, it gives you the opportunity to work offline and upload changes on your AdWords campaigns. Very nice program and easy to figure out (this fact is a real plus for those of us who hate to read instructions).

The second free tool is a really cool keyword tool you can download called Keyword Transformer. This tool builds your keyword list by adding and taking out spaces, adding common misspellings and expanding your list for broad, phrase and exact match. A real time saver. And the paid version will give you common permutations of your keywords among other great little features.

Hope you're able to use these little gems. Until next time . . .

Need an Easy Way to Set Up Your PPC Campaigns?

Here's a couple of tools you may find helpful as you set up and do maintenance to your AdWords Advertising campaigns. The first is a tool which manipulates your keywords for endless permutations of your basic phrase. In addition to permutations, it will also format your keywords for broad, phrase and exact match at the touch of a button. This can all be done with the free personal version, however if you have further needs, you can purchase the professional version and the sky's the limit. Click here to download your free copy of Keyword Transformer.

As you're formatting your keywords to start your AdWords campaign, you can also tell Keyword Transformer to format your keywords to go into your Google AdWords Editor. The editor can be filled out offline, your information saved, and then upload. With this nifty tool, you can have one or maybe several different campaigns ready to go offline, and then just touch a button and upload to Google. It's a great time saver, and this tool is also free, and can be downloaded by clicking the highlighted text above.

Hope you enjoy the free tools. Until next time . . .

Would You Rather be a Big Fish or a Little Fish?

A recent survey asked the question, would you rather be a Big Fish in a little pond or a little fish in a Big Pond? The majority of Americans (66%) said they would much rather be a little fish in a Big Pond.

Answers like little fish have more to explore and see – they have more opportunities for adventures and more fish to meet and greet. However, the pond was never defined.

So let's ask the question differently. In the field of Internet Marketing, would you rather be a Big Fish in a little pond or a little fish in a Big Pond. Knowing more about your pond changes everything.

Before you know what you want, you have to know where you are. Lot's of internet marketers are swimming around in circles in a very big pond. Information overload has many chasing their tails.

Pick a plan of action and then stick to it. And then just keep swimming. Sometimes success seems like the insurmountable task. But if you just keep at it, before you know it you're making headway. We can't all become overnight successes.

To learn more about the Internet Marketing 'pond,' drop by the EarnOnYourComputer.com website and swim with a school of fish who are taking over the pond.

Until next time . . .

Big is Not Always Better

Came across this little tidbit and thought you might be able to increase your profits. It seems 'big is not always better' or so reports Darren Rowse of ProBlogger. AdSense offers two rectangle ad unit sizes - 300×250 pixels and 336×280 pixels and because logic tells us the larger ad would be more bang for the advertiser's buck, it should be the most popular. Right? Not so much.

It seems both ads are great because you can have not only text ads, but video and images. This provides more opportunities for advertisers so more ads for your sites. However, the 300x250 pixel ads are the standard size for banner/image ads so there are more advertisers.

Get your Why before your How!

Just a quick post about marketing products - be it on the Internet or anywhere else. You've got to understand your customer's "WHY".

What's your niche? Do you sell golf supplies - clubs, balls, instruction manuals? Why do your customers want these things? You've got to understand their "why" before you can decide "how" to market these things in the way they're looking for them.

You've got to get the "why" before you'll know your "how". You've got to know your customers "why" before you'll know how you should market.

Somehow that seems a little confusing when it's written down, but I think you get my drift. Hope your day is going well and you're having great success.

Until next time . . .

How to Make Money Online without a Website

This is a very popular question and because of this I thought I might just touch on the possibilities once more. It is very possible to make money online without a website - all it takes is a little time and effort.

First and most obvious I would think would be blogging. Anyone can blog. Just chat about the things you know or learn about your chosen 'Niche' and recommend any quality products you find which might help your readers.

In addition to recommending products, you can also sell ads on your blog, to either Google or others for additional income.

Other ways to generate cash are to write articles. Write about issues in your chosen niche and once again recommend quality products which will solve problems for your readers, specific to your chosen niche.

Follow the links if you would like additional information on either choosing a niche, or learning to blog or if you wish to try your hand at article marketing.

Hope your day is going well and you're having great success.

Browser Shortcuts

Though I'm not the most technological kid on the block I do like a shortcut or two. Today's shortcuts come from Jeff Atwood's Coding Horror Blog. Jeff gives us 5 browser shortcuts that you can use everyday. (I love the one about the middle button. That's great for browsing forum posts.)

And last buy not least - tomorrow is Super Tuesday. Get out and vote. It's an honor you shouldn't miss out on.

The Secret of a Business Plan

I'm a big list maker. I seem to get more done if I have a list. If I know exactly what I'm suppose to be doing, getting or where I'm suppose to be at a given time, I'll generally do it, get it or be there.

But without that list, I'm pretty much like the proverbial duck out of water - rather lost and waddling around looking pathetic.

Business plans are very much like that 'to do' list you make. They give you an idea of where you're suppose to be, or what you should be doing or getting at specific point in your day, week or month.

For an Internet Marketer it's a wonderful way to combat analysis paralysis and information overload. Sometimes I find myself re-learning something I already knew but forgot. A business plan keeps you on track and helps you remember all the stuff you should be implementing.

Check out this business plan for Article Marketing.   As with any business plan you'll want to modify it to meet your needs, but it's a great place to start.

Market Your Affiliate Products with Ads

Lots of time we get our minds fixed on something and then we have trouble letting go of the idea.  I do a lot of  Article Marketing  and sometimes I have more products and keywords to promote than I have time to write articles for.   So they get shoved to the background and often I never get to them.

But I can write several ads in the time it takes to write one article . . . duh, but I sort of forget I can use ads as well as articles.

In case you've never tried them,  USFreeAds  is a great inexpensive way to market affiliate products.   For $9.95 a month, you can place an unlimited number of ads each month, that automatically renew.  (Tip: You can get a  premium acount for less  if you follow this link and my advise.)

And if you haven't checked us out lately, drop by the EarnOnYourComputer website . . . we've had a facelift.

Until next time . . .

Are Your Landing Pages Relevant?

Are Your Landing Pages Relevant? Relevant to what you ask? Relevant to the keywords you’ve optimized your page for.

If you have lots of traffic but no sales Relevancy could be your problem. Let’s say you have a keyword phrase extolling the virtues of an acne e-book that’s suppose to be the greatest and latest cure for acne. But the landing page you send your customers to keeps talking about scientific research into the causes of acne or how to cover those zits with makeup. No Sale!

Make sure your landing pages deal with the questions your potential customers have. Be the ultimate matchmaker. Your customers have questions and problems – and you have the answer. Make sure they know you have the answer to their dilemma right away.

Until next time . . .
